Nice toiletries for pre-teen girl?

In my day it would have been something from the Body Shop but I’m sure there must be something much cooler and more appealing out there. I think my nearly-12-year-old would love some smellies for Christmas - can anyone suggest a nice range to try? (Personally I love L’Occitane but don’t want to push the boat out quite so far on this occasion!)

Lush or Ted Baker (I think the Ted Baker stuff is in Boots)

Soap and glory

I just bought my tween DD some skincare from this range after reading about it. It's not as pricey as L’Occitane and it's all natural.

All good suggestions, thank you! I think she’d be delighted with any of those. I hadn’t heard of Spots & Stripes before but it looks interesting 👍🏻

Dd uses soap and glory.

My dds are 13 and 11 and they both like stuff from the Body Shop.

mario badescu skin care here for my 13 year old. Urban outfitters sells it or beauty bay for bargain buys!! She loves it!
She likes some body shop stuff, body yogurt..but finds lush a bit crap ( which I'm so fucking glad about the bastard mess bombs leaves drives me mad)

Soap and glory from Boots, I love their mascara and eyebrow kits. Think Boots has offers on the body type sets right now.

Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things has a range out called Florence which is marketed at that age bracket. I think they sell it in Boots.

Thanks @PolPotNoodle, I’ll look out for it

I asked a friend what I could get her 8yo DD to make her feel a bit 'grown up' for Christmas, and she recommended Soap and Glory.

SuntanC · 16/12/2019 23:13

Sorry I posted too soon! Got it for 14 year olds last year too and it went down a treat all round! So I think a good option!

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 16/12/2019 23:14

I was going to recommend Soap and Glory.

A word or warning though, their lipstick/gloss is called Sexy Mother Pucker and so probably unsuitable!

BubblesBuddy · 16/12/2019 23:23

I’ve just had a look at the bath range in &Other stories. It’s got interesting names and is fun. Not cheap and tacky with unsuitable names. I wouldn’t buy a pre teen make up. Bath and shower gels are just fine!

My 12 year old dd loves the Florence range by Millie Bobby Brown.

Proseccoagain · 17/12/2019 21:22

My 12 yr old DGD loves the Florence range too.
