Hi all,

Just wondering whether anyone has any tried and tested methods for helping a baby suffering with mucus in their upper respiratory tract and a really nasty associated cough?

Thanks Flowers

Bringing them into he bath room whilst you or dp are in the shower as the steam will help.

Prop one end of their cot up on books to help them sleep.

Vicks plug in.

We've got exactly the same at the moment with my 7 month old. We prop the head end of his cot up so he's lying on a slight incline and not completely flat on his back and I put eucalyptus oil on a muslin and tie it somewhere on his cot out of reach. There's an old wives take of putting Vicks on the bottom of their feet at night and then putting socks on. No idea why it would work but makes me feel better trying something so sometimes do that too.

It’s so difficult with babies. Snuffle babe and vicks plug ins if they’re old enough. Steamy bathroom or a humidifier. Sterimar nasal spray and a nose frida.
