Come talk to me about Lapland!

Next Christmas my DD will be 22 months and I’ve just been looking at Lapland Holidays (spurred on by the ecclestones social media posts Xmas Envy).

Will 22 months be too young to get anything from an (expensive) trip to Lapland?

Those who have been where did you go? Did you do a package? There seems to be so many different resorts and options!

Way too young - our DD was just 3 in Disneyland and can't remember anything about it and was too young to enjoy it properly.

Far too young and would be a complete waste of money. She won't remember it and you won't get the most out of it.

I went when I was a moody, grumpy teenager who hated the idea of it and it was the most magical holiday I've ever been on and the one I remember the most to this day, 15 years later.

Yes, far too young. We went when DD was 15, and she got as much out of it as we did. When they are that little they can't take a physically active part in the snowy activities, instead they pulled on a sledge by reindeer or a snowmobile, or a husky sledge and just get very, very, very cold.

We didn't go at Christmas though because DD was too old for the Santa stuff, and some of the TripAdvisor reviews actually said avoid December if you don't want small children running riot in the hotel.

Far too small, we did a day trip this year and there were smalls there, it was so cold they were simply crying continually,. Mine are 7 and 9 and it was a perfect age, still young enough to believe but old enough to really enjoy and remember and to know they have to keep their bloody gloves on!!!!

Way way too young. 🙂

Mine were almost 6 and 7.5 when we went and that was ok.

Too young. DS was 5.6 and he loved it. Any younger and he wouldn’t have been able to cope with the cold and long days. He remembers it too.

To young...

I reckon best age is about 5....
