Affordable hiking/wellness holiday?

Single parent in desperate need of some R&R here, I’m looking at booking a trip next year just for me Grin

What I’d really like is somewhere low key and relaxed, like a small family run hotel, with a pool, yoga, some walking, cycling, healthyish food, nice scenery etc. Somewhere where I can either hang out with other likeminded travellers in the evening, or just go for a stroll or read a book. Not a big glitzy spa hotel or regimented health farm! Don’t mind where really but thinking Spain, Portugal, maybe Turkey.

Do these places exist?!

Can recommend this one for a single person, chilling out, pool, bbq, reading etc.

La Palma in the Canary Islands is great for walking. Inexpensive, low key and very beautiful.

Shanti som in Spain is lovely for walking/ yoga/ pilates- and reading a book by the pool! Lots of people go on their own.

Have a look at www.kaliyoga.com
They have a place in Spain and a place in Italy
I went for a week on my own this year and had a truly wonderful week
Would highly recommend

Earlier this year I went to Juicy Oasis in Portugal. It would fit your criteria, it is quite expensive but you can bring costs down by either staying in one of the pods or sharing a twin room with a stranger of the same sex.
It is a really amazing place, a hike each morning, 3 yoga classes a day, other exercise classes including rebounding, lectures and talks, a spa, beautiful scenery and a lake for swimming if you like that. It’s all optional and as social as you want it to be. It’s a complete detox week with 4 juices a day, a few shots of healthy stuff and nothing else.

Jason Vale also runs a cheaper option called Juicy Mountain in Turkey, the same concert but more rustic.

Concept not concert.

Another option would be to create your own. I've been meaning to do this for ages now! Find a nice, walkable area that has a yoga studio - many studios do special offers for first time customers, e.g. unlimited classes for two weeks for £30 or something, then just rent a self-catering flat nearby.
