Post Christmas event on the Sunday afterwards; would you prefer another full Christmas dinner? Or a buffet?

And if the buffet what would you include?

Thanks!

Buffet!

fastliving · 14/12/2019 13:42

No to another Christmas dinner!
Definitely buffet.
Just the usual stuff.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 14/12/2019 13:42

Christmas Day is a Wednesday this year, so I'd be fine to have another one by the Sunday.

If it was Boxing Day I'd say buffet though.

Sparklybaublefest · 14/12/2019 13:43

turkey curry?
or a buffet

TroysMammy · 14/12/2019 13:44

Another dinner but with different meat. I could eat one every day if someone else made it and washed up afterwards.

managedmis · 14/12/2019 13:45

Buffet

No leftover turkey included

QueenAnneBoleyn · 14/12/2019 13:45

Buffet.

wellthatwasthat · 14/12/2019 13:45

Buffet! Maybe a side of salmon, or quiches, jacket spuds, loads of salads, cheeses, nice bread & rolls, the inevitable cocktail sausages, that sort of thing. And maybe some sort of boozy chocolate orange trifle.

hopeishere · 14/12/2019 13:55

I was going to do a massive cheeseboard, pate, salad, and then I got stuck for ideas!!

Buffet here as well

ExpletiveFairylighted · 14/12/2019 14:00

Buffet and I agree with "no leftover turkey included".

I won't want another Christmas dinner till the next Christmas Day and probably won't have a roast again for a good few weeks after Christmas.

ExpletiveFairylighted · 14/12/2019 14:01

Cheeseboard, pate, salad, crusty bread etc all good.

LadyCordeliaVorkosigan · 14/12/2019 14:01

Buffet or a very different hot meal.

IHaveBrilloHair · 14/12/2019 14:02

Buffet, quite fish/smoked fish based if your guests like it.

gothefcktosleep · 14/12/2019 14:03

Hooray for the buffet!

Pipandmum · 14/12/2019 14:06

A nice ham would be good. I love buffets and a range of cheeses, salads, chutneys and warm sides plus the ham and pates and crunchy bread - can I come?

PhantomErik · 14/12/2019 14:07

Quiche with warm buttered new potatoes & salad.

KnightandDay · 14/12/2019 14:08

massive cheeseboard, pate, salad
All sounds perfect to me! Add some crusty bread and olives and I'd be in heaven!

MIdgebabe · 14/12/2019 14:35

Last year, we were fed a buffet around that time, and we both groaned as it was all meat and cheese and pastries and we were craving fruit and veg and fresh anything

ThinkIamflyingundertheradar · 14/12/2019 14:52

@hopeishere your planned menu is more than enough. There will probably also be lots of left over turkey, puddings etc. If you really wanted to make something more substantial you could do a potato salad or new potatoes or even some roasties but I think that’s overkill. People eat so much on Christmas Day I think cheese and pate plus some nice fresh

GlowingR · 14/12/2019 14:55

Buffet
