Frozen toys that aren’t tacky?!?

DS having a frozen phase. He suddenly wants Elsa and Anna for Christmas. I don’t want to get him (landfill) junk.

Any Frozen suggestions that are genuinely excellent toys? That could be passed on when his phase ends, etc? (Or that I could look for second hand right now!)

Most of the Frozen toys I’ve seen are no better or worse quality than any other toys on the market. DD2(4) has had the soft Anna and Elsa dolls from the Disney store for a couple of years now and plays with them regularly. She’s also got the small plastic Anna and Elsa dolls from there which still seem to be in good condition after all couple of years.

I’d second the soft dolls, DD still has all the princesses and she loved those dolls! Also seen the toddler dolls which are good quality.

Good advice from pp. There is also frozen duplo or Lego depending on his age.

Great to know they’re not all bad quality. I keep thinking they’ll be quick-buck-type toys, mass produced badly. I will look at the Disney store online!

But brill recommendation on Duplo! That’s ideal! I didn’t know. Looking that up now!

You can tell my son is an adult. When I saw the thread title I immediaately wondered how you would keep any toy frozen until Christmas.

Has he seen Frozen II? We got a great soft toy Bruni from the Disney store

MooKnee · 14/12/2019 15:16

You must simply get the giant Sven reindeer that is taller than the children and costs £180!Xmas Wink

I’m sure there would be plenty of second hand Frozen toys from the first time around.

IsletsOfLangerhans · 14/12/2019 15:25

I got my niece Frozen Top Trumps for her birthday. Went down a treat. Pretty sure I got them in Asda

Saw some nice figures in Tesco stores they also had the reindeer riding man .. sorry I'm not sure what his name is.

Agree re Disney store. That’s where we’ve got DS toy story presents from. Ones in other toy stores look like really poor quality - even in the Entertainer and stores I usually think as good! Disney was a good price for what I thought too

FaithInfinity · 14/12/2019 16:25

DD has the soft toys of Anna and Elsa, second hand but good condition. There’s Lego sets as well that are good. Be wary of anything on Amazon, we accidentally got rip off (Barbie style) dolls and they were awful quality, Anna has lost a leg and her top fell apart! They were both wearing stripper boots too 🤦‍♀️

Minesril · 15/12/2019 07:57

I (sort of) want the frozen lego for me...
