Headphones to block out tv

Hi all,

Dh likes to watch tv in the evening. I like to read but cannot abide the background noise of the tv.

When I look for noise cancelling headphones all I find is ones you listen to music on that also block external noise.

Does anyone know of or have the kind of ear defenders I want?!

Aren’t Bose supposed to be the best?

From what I can tell they're more for when you're actually listening to something. I just want silence! Maybe I'm wrong though

Watching with interest, as our new aj neighbours have just purchased a TV for their bedroom and our walls are very thin Hmm They actually don't have it on really loud, but it's that constant hum that drives me mad!

Can anyone help @GinFizzExtraGin and I?!

Wouldn't it be far more effective for your DH to wear the headphones?

Yes you could get him lovely headphones for Christmas!

I have Bose noise cancelling headphones and have been to use them in this kind of situation before, and to block noise on a plane even when not listening to music/film myself. They don't always block all noise but do make a big big difference.

Else get your dh to wear headphones instead perhaps?

Or look at ear plugs for yourself.
