Hi all

Which dress do you like best for tonight. It's a glam up affair.

I'm 5'6, size 14-16 with a big bust.

I'm not brave enough for a pic of me in either but here are the dresses.

The black one I've had altered so the inner black skirt is midi length.

TIA Xmas Smile

Can’t say unless you post pics of yourself in them!! First one is very glam, not sure with a big bust though, might be a bit much?
Like the idea of the second one being midi length on the underskirt, is it stretch fabric so it hugs your figure or akin though? As that’s make a huge difference!

VictoriaBun · 13/12/2019 12:32

First one is very glam, does the occasion match it ?

Acunningruse · 13/12/2019 12:32

Both beautiful dresses I think a lot depends how confident you are, I personally think the first dress is less forgiving and less flattering than the second but if you feel amazing in it then go for it!

Oh the first one is beautiful! That one without a doubt.

itcamefrombeckyvardyself · 13/12/2019 13:05

@Hellbentwellwent yes it's clingy and hugs the skin. I have Spanx though so I'm not worried about wobbly bits.

I will try them both on in a bit and if I'm confident add some pics.

Everyone I have spoke to has said they are glamming up.

I like them both. I got them both brand new with tags from eBay at a right steal. I never get a chance to glam up!

Definately the first one

Betterbegoing · 13/12/2019 13:11

The first one, without any doubt

Ohyesiam · 13/12/2019 13:13

The first one looks more modern. Are you an hourglass shape?

Greenglassteacup · 13/12/2019 13:14

The first one is lovely and Art Deco, not sure that works with big boobs though, difficult to say as it’s shown on a small boobed and v slim model

skippy67 · 13/12/2019 13:15

The second one. First one looks a bit cruise ship. I think you'll wear the second one more than once, and it's more modern in style.

Expressedways · 13/12/2019 13:21

Probably the second one although I’m struggling to visualise the alterations you’ve made. Glamming up could mean anything so I wouldn’t wear the first unless the dress code explicitly states black tie.

Sagradafamiliar · 13/12/2019 13:25

The second one will be more flattering. I'd wear the first full length one only to specific occasions, so not if you're out partying (for example).

itcamefrombeckyvardyself · 13/12/2019 13:30

@Expressedways so the black skirt part that is thigh level, that's now knee length.

The black one is much nicer for a party.

midsomermurderess · 13/12/2019 13:40

I think that at 5'6'' you're too short for the long one.

MurrayTheMonk · 13/12/2019 14:17

Show us both on you-we can't decide otherwise Smile

LuckyAmy1986 · 13/12/2019 14:21

First one!

ISpeakJive · 13/12/2019 17:53

I actually disagree with this. Heels can work wonders for your height not to mention how confident you feel.
I actually like both. The first is very red carpet. The second is very sexy.

isseywith4vampirecats · 13/12/2019 18:36

if its a glam do the first one definitely the second one is nice but safe more like a night out on the town dress

AcrobaticCardigan · 14/12/2019 09:50

Def the second!

itcamefrombeckyvardyself · 14/12/2019 11:53

Ended up wearing the second one. Sent DH the bar to see how dressy it was and he said dress 2.

Paying for it now I feel awful.

Did he make the right decision for you?

itcamefrombeckyvardyself · 14/12/2019 13:51

He did he's a keeper Smile

Expressedways · 14/12/2019 14:21

Hope you had a good night, I’m sure you looked great in the dress! And your DH truly is a gem to go check out the crowd for you.

Crocky · 14/12/2019 15:18

Brilliant 😀
