Northern Ireland Voters, have we learnt our lesson yet?

Have we stopped voting for the eejits in the DUP and SF? Do you think we will see an Alliance coup? God I really hope so. Our polling station was very busy there wasn't one rep outside and I haven't had one person knock on my door!

I wonder are there exit polls for NI?

I really hope there are some changes this time. I keep thinking that younger people coming through will vote differently but then you see the kids that go on Nolan's Top Table and realise they are just as entrenched as some of their parents. I hope they're not representative of young voters today.

Sorry if that's not clicky - there's a thread here.

I'm about to go to the polls now... No SF or DUP for me, thanks!

I think the numbers will be down for dup and SF and alliance will have a bigger share of the votes but I don't think it's going to be enough to have any meaningful effect. I live in dup country and have felt real apathy this time round.

Sunnysidegold · 12/12/2019 17:32

Just to clarify, I didn't vote dup!

ihateryansworld · 12/12/2019 18:09

Sunnysidegold I'm DUP country too. East Antrim. But I have heard even staunch Sammy Wilson Supporters saying they can't trust them
Anymore to provide equal rights. Fingers crossed.
