Today I took all DD's baby 8mm videos in from 21 years ago to get copied onto DVD for Christmas and they all have undetectable mould on the tape so quite likely to disintegrate.

One snapped instantly.

I'm actually sadder than I expected.

Feels positive to say get yours done ASAP or ask grandparents if they need theirs doing.

Good advice. I had a similar thing in that a tape snapped and the video transfer people were able to repair it .

My mum got one done this year - it’s maybe 33 years old.

I cried almost all the way through watching it. I’d forgotten what my nanny and grandad sounded like.

But yes good advice!
