Stiff bedding/duvet cover how can I soften up?

Just bought a lovely douvet cover/pillow cases have washed and used fabric condition but still bit stiff. Just hung out to dry. Any ideas on how to soften? Would a tumble dry help

I would Iron it & see.if it helps.

Have a google of 'brining', that might help to soften it up

I googled and most advice says use cup ful of baking soda then on the rinse vycle lower temp and use vinegar.

Im going to re wash with baking soda....is baking powder the same??

I dont have either!
I will rewash again

Tumble it with a dryer sheet?

Baking soda and powder are the same, just different names (US & UK names)
