Would you? It's in that completely sealed packaging so still looks a good colour and no freezer burn. Also, what would you make with it?

If use it no problem- either on its own or in a fish pie

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 11/12/2019 13:52

It's fine. We are working our way through our chest freezer, and have found some rather.... ahem, vintage items in there. Most things have been absolutely fine. I would also make a fish pie. Or fishcakes if I could be bothered. Or a smoked fish risotto.

DramaAlpaca · 11/12/2019 13:53

It'll be fine to eat.

As for recipes I don't eat fish so I haven't a clue, sorry.

I'd use it without a second thought and I'd put it in a fish pie.

Fish Pie, Cullen Skink, Kedgeree!

Mary Berry does a good recipe with cauliflower and guyre cheese

2 days later I come back to update!! Yes I ate it (kedgeree) and of course it was fine, delicious in fact. Thank you for talking sense into me.

I'd make chowder with it - potatoes, sweet corn, onions and smoked fish in a milky soup with paprika and parsley. Sounds like a weird combination but it's divine.
