Early period? Need some advice and reassurance please

Woke up this morning to find I'm bleeding, just a bit. (no chance of me being pregnant, last time I had sex was well over a year ago)

Last period was 3 ish weeks ago so if this is my period it's a bit early. Freaking myself out with other things it could be. Period is never usually early and combined with my anxiety I feel sick.

I feel physically fine. Panicked myself into thinking I need a GP appointment but can't get through.

Any advice? Thanks

Thanks. I've calmed down a bit now. Think it's a combination of being ill recently, the dark weather and just one of those things.

Making an appointment with the GP anyway to talk about the bloody anxiety again.

Seems perfectly normal to be because if you last had one 3 ish weeks ago it isn't that much out of the realms of normal. My DD was a week early this month and I am now over a week late and again not our normal but not particularly abnormal either if we were to ask a Dr. Please don't worry. Make a note on your calendar now just to see how things are next month. I've always done this so I can see patterns.

Mine are coming early just now OP because of the 5 week months we've been having. It's so easy to think it should come on X date i.e. 28th, but when you actually count the days, it's not always as early as you think it is.

QuestionableMouse · 11/12/2019 14:40

Thanks. I feel better for reading that. I hate periods anyway so getting it early wasn't a welcome surprise.

You dont need a GP appointment for this. Please dont make one.

The GP will want to see a history to diagnose anything IF theres anything wrong with you - wait a few more months and see if they normalise, then if they dont go to your GP.

firsttimebuyer20 · 11/12/2019 15:20

@CAG12 the OP said she was making a GP appointment to discuss her anxiety Smile

QuestionableMouse · 11/12/2019 15:24

@CAG12 I'm going to the GP to talk about the anxiety. Sick of living with it atm.
