What inconsequential thing is making you grumpy?

I can tell I’m feeling grumpy, I’m getting all overcome by scissor packaging that needs scissors to open and want to declare it’s stupidity to the world. Tell me I’m not alone. What is making you eye roll?

Being held up behind a tractor which made me ever so slightly later than usual for the kids' gymnastics class which meant I was forced to sit next to MumWhoNeverStopsTalkingAndOfferingAdvice instead of my usual lovely quiet corner where I can play with my younger DCs in peace.

This sore throat/nasty cough combination which has appeared from nowhere today.

Aycharow · 09/12/2019 13:50

A sprained ankle.

DMCWelshcakes · 09/12/2019 14:07

The fact that I can't get my garland of googly eyed sprouts to hang right.

Zaphodsotherhead · 09/12/2019 14:27

I made a lovely, slow-simmered pan of porridge for my post-run, pre-work breakfast. Put it in the bowl, scattered a little brown sugar on, just a touch of double cream, it was steaming away all hot and gorgeous and just waiting for me.

Dog jumped up, bowl went all over the floor. Dog has now had second breakfast of lovely creamy porridge and I had to make another, quick, bowl which was NOT NEARLY AS NICE.

Dog is a bastard. A bastard full of porridge. My porridge.

My felt Hobbycraft mistletoe keeps falling off the top of the kitchen doorframe. None of the other decorations are falling down. Who's going to kiss me now, eh?

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 09/12/2019 14:34

Jo Fucking Swinson.

ALongHardWinter · 09/12/2019 14:47

Pinkarsedfly Where does he live? Mars? Grin

Two things are annoying me at the moment. 1) This damn cough. Had it for 2 weeks now with no signs of relenting.
2) Toddler in coffee shop who keeps emitting ear piercing screeches, and has been doing so for the last hour. His mother seems to find it amusing, for some reason.

lauryloo · 09/12/2019 14:50

this cold that has been going on for 6 weeks, and the fact that DH hates every name i've suggested for our baby boy :( ugh

CigarsofthePharoahs · 09/12/2019 15:29

I'm playing Civilisation VI on my laptop. If I play against more than two AI opponents the bloody thing takes ages to cycle through the turns. Then it's finally my go and I have no units to move anyway.
Plus Sean Bean narrates all the technical bits and after a while I'm like "Oh do shut up Sean."
Apart from that it's a great game.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 09/12/2019 15:31

And Spain just declared a surprise war on me. Bastards!

MaureenMLove · 09/12/2019 15:38

I've been grumpy all day about the person who parked in my spot at work. I am the first person in the car park every day. Every day for the last 12 or 13 years. People know it's my spot. People panic if I'm not there when they arrive. People know not to park in my spot.

I have no idea who this person is, but so help me god when I find them!Grin

Loyaultemelie · 09/12/2019 15:44

That my stomach has decided any form of food is unacceptable without Imodium instants, yet again. (Nothing contagious just solely my misery)

Homebird8 · 09/12/2019 17:30

I’ve just woken from a dream and now I’ll never know if I could have mastered the base sax.

Bloody squabbling kids

spacepyramid · 09/12/2019 17:45

Idiots who think they know it all better than the experts do, e.g. the people on Twitter criticising the NZ rescue services for not searching Whakaari.

The idiots doing that are inconsequential.

leasedaudi · 09/12/2019 18:58

The fact that my husband put away the toddler clothes that I laid out for him to take to nursery to stock up said toddler's spare clothes stash 😔 life is hard

Homebird8 · 09/12/2019 23:37

@spacepyramid sometimes I don’t think people understand that Mother Nature cannot be controlled.

I spent hours yesterday making a beef casserole, we ate it tonight and it tasted rubbish. Frigging casserole

VanyaHargreeves · 10/12/2019 01:16

I don't know whether someone has feelings for me or not sometimes I think they definitely do and others not, so now when I do notice things I worry that it's just a case of confirmation bias and not a sign

Secondly, my NDN is in a MH crisis. I have informed every relevant fucker, but the system is so stretched I don't think there's beds. The individual(s) who judged him capable of living in a flat on his own in the community should be shot frankly
