Donating goods for women (and men) in DV refuge/new homes

How on earth can I do this?

I have looked on Women's Aid and it has a drop down menu which includes donating goods. However, it goes back to 'we don't accept donated goods' then takes you to the donate money page.

I don't expect it to be easy to find a refuge for obvious reasons, but how can I find a contact to donate things?

I have tried before and have read about places where items are needed for those that have fled and left everything, how can I give them things? Or do the refuges make their own arrangements?

You need to contact individual regional and local services to see if they accept things and what the arrangements are if so. You just can’t donate goods to the national office as they can’t store or distribute them. Service directory should have emails for local services: www.womensaid.org.uk/domestic-abuse-directory/

Thank you Comtesse. I had already tried that, first there was only one in the area, tried a different search and there was still only one, but not the same one.

I remember now why I gave up before.
