Can you help me find this recipe for Christmas?

I'm hoping someone here can help me.

My family don't like gravy, but I make this saucy stuff at Christmas (not gravy. but 'Christmas Sauce')
Earlier in the year my friend showed me his father's recipes, that his family had found when his dad died and they were so thrilled, he told me to gather all my recipes in the one place and keep them together.

So I did that but seem to have thrown away the most important recipe of them all!!

Sorry for the long lead in. I'm just trying to explain how stupid I am.

It's a Madeira / Marsala gravy. A girl called Neena gave it to me years ago to go with a goose. It might be a Nigel Slater recipe book but I have never seen it printed.

It has:
Loads of onions chopped in large pieces.
Cooked gently for 30 minutes until translucent.
Then you add marsala wine.
Mustard powder
Stock
Wholegrain mustard
Juniper berries
Then redcurrant jelly.

It takes ages but is really special. I tried making it the other night and it was all wrong.

I neeeeeed the recipe. Can anyone help me?

It might be called 'Madiera Gravy'.

I would be so grateful if someone has heard of this or could point me in the right direction. Thanks a million.

You really have. I am going to print it out and put it into my recipe folder now so my children can make it.

Your kindness will be felt for many years :)

Thank you.
