Unicorn in seashell toy - any ideas?!

DD5 has put this in her list to Santa. I have no idea what it is. I probed her a bit and she said it’s either a My Little Pony or a unicorn that is in a shell you can open. She said she saw it in a shop but can’t remember which one.

It’s not hatchimals in a seashell and it’s not the My Little Pony seapony song toy - I thought I’d cracked it when I saw this but she said it’s not it, it’s definitely a shell you can open Confused

She may well have imagined this toy up but if anyone knows what she might be talking about I’d be very grateful!

What shops have you been in together recently where she may have seen it? Sounds like a b&m kind of random toy!

purplemunkey · 06/12/2019 11:04

That was exactly my thinking! I’ve just returned from B&M and the only thing I could see was the My Little Pony sea pony thing. She may have seen this toy in a dream Grin

Other shops - Tesco Extra, Waitrose, Peacocks - I can’t really think of anywhere else we’ve been recently.

Could it be this?

Hmm Google is not helping!

Could well be Peacocks, they have some weird and wonderful things in at this time of year.

Mrsjayy · 06/12/2019 11:11

My 22 year old had MLP bath toys they were in seashells maybe something like that?

parietal · 06/12/2019 11:13

playmobil does some pretty good unicorns. not sure if they are in sea shells

purplemunkey · 06/12/2019 11:15

Thanks everyone. I’m not sure it’s that carriage, I think we might have looked at that already - thank you though!

I’ll have a look in Peacocks later.

I’ll google MLP bath toys now - it did occur to me they might be bath toys.

In home bargains theres a set that has seashells that you have to smash open and there is a unicorn inside. Bit like a fossil idea zz

Mrsjayy · 06/12/2019 11:16

Sorry for the huge link but might it be that?

My Little Pony Rarity Undersea Spa Playset www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XTRV592/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pIJ6Db19KJ0TY?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

RoxytheRexy · 06/12/2019 11:17

We have this. It’s Rarity in a bath but it looks a bit like a shell

purplemunkey · 06/12/2019 11:19

Ooh - that all about party bags one might be a good shout. No idea where she would have seen that though! I’ll ask her after school.

I tried home bargains this morning and didn’t see that - I might have to have another look.

Ohh - I’ll try the Rarity one too, that could well be it. I knew posting on MN would be helpful!

Are you sure it's a seashell not just a shell? There are several unicorn in an eggshell toys about this year.

purplemunkey · 06/12/2019 11:33

You could be right - I can see a few like that at The Works and Hobbycraft. This is good - a few more things to try.

It could also be that she saw 2 separate toys next to eachother, a seashell and a unicorn, and blended them together in her head, my dd does that a lot! My mermaid lagoon is a seashell, then maybe a separate unicorn?

purplemunkey · 06/12/2019 11:46

That could well be the case. Those mermaid lagoon toys look like the sort of thing she would like. I’m so glad I asked :)

My DD has a unicorn that came in a shell which you submerged in water and then it cracked, from B&M and was £1.99 ish I think

Shipwrecked2019 · 06/12/2019 11:47

Oh just read properly, that she's not after a hatchimal type thing!
