I've just ordered the Elvie Pelvic Floor Trainer.

Does anyone have an experience of using it?

What were your results like? How long?

No but I keep seeing ads and am tempted so am following with interest.

aggitatedstate · 05/12/2019 14:24

I literally star jump and pee.

I want to start exercise in the new year but can't because my pelvic floors are so bad!

It's arrived so .... watch this space

I expect you to type your update post using a stylus clenched with your pelvic floor Grin

I'm currently doing a product test for it. I'm unsure about it at the moment. The app struggles to find a connection sometimes and doesn't always register the squeeze, and other times it's off the chart.

It looks nice and it's simple to use.

God I read that as Elvis!

How much is it OP? I currently use an app and my pelvic floor is pretty robust but I’m terrified of incontinence later in life so would like something more compelling than the app.

I have one and where I use it regularly it does help my pelvic floor. Only issue is I just dont keep it up long enough.

It's easy to use though and the app works fine twells you when to use it. Easy to clean and discreet so doesn't show up as you obviously charging it

I have one! I have noticed more improvement than I thought I would, but it is still pretty slow/gradual. You get plenty of data to see how you're getting on though, which is nice.

I thought I'd suddenly got worse at one point, but actually it was a case of positioning. I had to use it while lying down the first few times, but now (~a month on) have to stand up. I think it's a "time of cycle" thing. So if you're certain you're squeezing plenty but the danged gem just won't go any higher, try changing how you are positioned/with or without the cover etc. Also, this time of year, get it warm first. That affects how well it responds. So, get ready with everything all set up, but just do something else for ~2 mins while it gets to nearer your body temp.

As for results, I've gone from needing to wear pads during any sport (and I've always been sporty), to being ok even when I'm really pushing myself, sprinting, that sort of thing. Sneezing is better. There's a way to go, but the "quality of life" impacting type of trouble is gone. Wish I'd bought it sooner. I was very sceptical. Only used it maybe twice a week!

Momniscient · 05/12/2019 15:29

@fiddie sounds like a temperature issue

aggitatedstate · 05/12/2019 19:41

@Momniscient wow! I'm ok with that. Literally sneeze and pee 😣

I had to use the "extra sleeve!"

Hmm! It seems to be a bit hit and miss recognising movement. I'll keep trying thou

@aggitatedstate how are you getting on, a month on? I’ve just bought one. I know they say it not a competition and the only person you should compare with is yourself, but I was wondering what a low or a high lv score might be? I was 7.4 the first time, 8 the second, so slight improvement already, but I saw on their Instagram a photo of an lv score of 39! A long way to go...
