Which sports shop is cool if you're 14?

My godson (14) wants various types of sportswear from me and his family for Christmas. I am thinking of getting him a voucher. Which shops are cool? How about Sports Direct?

No, JD.

JumpyLiz · 01/12/2019 10:48

Obviously speaking for all 14 year olds everywhere there Grin

I meant my young son thinks JD is cool.

Older DS says JD, nearly 14 year old doesn't care.

Is there a specific thing or brand he wants as we buy from M+M a lot for DS.

If it's a voucher get JD

Kenworthington · 01/12/2019 10:57

JD. Fgs def NOt sports direct

StrongerThanIThought76 · 01/12/2019 10:57

Superdry
Kings Will Dream
Foot Asylum for trainers

JD is the mecca for all the teenagers I know (secondary school teacher)

Definitely JD, they even love the carrier bags round here. My 12 year old DD turns her nose up at sports direct.

Knowivedonewrong · 01/12/2019 11:45

My 22 year old son uses JD. I believe that's the decent sports shop.

earlydoors42 · 01/12/2019 13:33

Another vote for JD

Time4change0 · 01/12/2019 13:39

JD & Footasylum

Unfortunately sports world is not cool at all.
Or the DW shop.

sclough · 01/12/2019 13:40

Oooh look the lesser spotted ....... MN consensus. Grin

StarlightLady · 01/12/2019 17:01

We live in a very unstable economic climate and vouchers are useless if a store goes under. £5 notes are universal vouchers and much safer. Also, some shops do not offer the same discounts with voucher purchases.

ritzbiscuits · 01/12/2019 17:13

Going by the amount of trendy advertising by the Trafford Centre - JD

Knockalockin · 01/12/2019 19:41

I asked DS, 13. He has no idea, got the old shoulder shrug And he said he's happy with either Nike or Adidas.
