Bathroom near Oxford/Piccadilly Circus?

Hello all!

I am in Central London and going out for a dinner tonight. Would like to know if there are any bathrooms anywhere that I could stop and freshen up a bit. Does anyone know? Happy to buy a drink or cake etc to access them. Just don’t want a dingy pub loo with a queue outside and nowhere to put my bag down. I already feel windswept and bedraggled and will look awful tonight if I can’t take 10 minutes to fix myself up a bit!

Thanks.

John Lewis? Any of the department stores

FrancesHaHa · 30/11/2019 12:53

Waterstones near Piccadilly Circus have toilets.

bigfatfeet · 30/11/2019 12:57

Possibly not perfectly located but Fenwicks in Bond St has a nice one with a room outside with mirrors and dressing tables - it’s on the top floor.

I would find a hotel to go to. One where you can sit and have a drink as a non resident. They will have the best bathrooms.

This sounds weird but trust me on this, the Hippodrome Casino by Leicester Square station has the most amazing toilets with oodles of space, dressing area and free GHD straighteners! It's suprisingly nice in there by the way, lovely and smart. You have to be over 18 to get in and then you can just go upstairs to the loos. Its a secret bit of intel! I have used this many times when working in town and freshening up before dinner! x

Liberty's?

AnnaNimmity · 30/11/2019 13:05

John Lewis I think

SuperStellaElla · 30/11/2019 13:07

Brasserie Zedel near Piccadilly Circus has spacious facilities (in the basement). Victoria's Secret (New Bond St) do too.

StarlightLady · 30/11/2019 13:49

Liberty or Fortnum and Mason have nice toilets. Anywhere that sells alcohol must have toilets by law. But why call toilets barhrooms. No baths in there Grin

SerenavanderWoodson · 30/11/2019 13:50

John Lewis or Selfridges.

LIZS · 30/11/2019 13:52

Selfridges, pop into a hotel with a cafe

LemonLimerance · 30/11/2019 14:35

Wonderful tips, thank you!
Hippodrome!! That’s amazing, I will definitely file that one away!
I think I will go for Fortnum and Mason, closest to try destination and yes I think it’ll have to be plush! Or a hotel - will have a quick google, great idea.
I forgot it’s Black Friday. Sad So. Many. People

I always use the loos in Le Meridien on Piccadilly. Just stride in confidentially and go down the stairs on the right-hand side of the lobby. It looks as if you’re going to the downstairs bar but you’re not...

The loos in Piccadilly Circus tube are actually pretty good, too - I think there may be a charge now, though.

LemonLimerance · 30/11/2019 14:36

Also googling Brasserie Zedel!

Confidently, not confidentially!

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 30/11/2019 14:37

There’s quite often a queue at BZ, probably because the restaurant’s so vast.

aggitatedstate · 30/11/2019 14:39

Find a hotel. At James Sofitel at the bottom

LIZS · 30/11/2019 14:40

If you are on Piccadilly try the Royal Academy, through the lobby and down on the right iirc.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 30/11/2019 14:44

National Gallery is good for a quick pee, just as an FYI, but it can be busy

Otherwise I'd def go to Fortnums.

mashpot · 30/11/2019 14:47

Top floor Fenwicks, as mentioned, is the best. Lovely dressing room area separate to the toilets. Fortum and Mason is fine if you are closer but smaller and not as plush.

TheFaerieQueene · 30/11/2019 14:49

Ham Yard hotel has good loos.

Butterflycookie · 30/11/2019 14:51

I always go to John Lewis . A lot quieter than other stores
