I've got a car without a CD player. Do I have to pay £9.99 for Apple Music?!

Surely not? 😭

I've got a Peugeot 3008 and it has Apple Car play.
So I got the Apple Music app and I get 7 days free and then it's £9.99 a month.

I'm a student nurse, I really can't afford that I'm trying to reduce all my outgoings for the last year at uni.

Is this really the only way? I really begrudge having to pay monthly just so I get my choice of music in my car.

You should be able to just Bluetooth your music library from your phone to the radio?

ColdRainAgain · 27/11/2019 14:01

Not a Peugeot, but we ended up putting the audiobooks onto USB (copied from the CD's we owned), which then plug into the car, and play. Worth looking at if you already own the music.

This.

OR download BBC sounds and get into radio podcasts.

I use bluetooth to listen to podcasts on my phone using the Antennapod app, but if you have music on your phone, you should be able to connect using bluetooth, USB or aux cable.

Apple Music is £4.99 for students

I listen to podcasts

Don't rely on USB, bluetooth etc. Some manufacturers have mad a pact with the very devil!

Mini have destroyed my usual arangements as AppleCrapThing only supports the latest gadgets, so my full to bursting 180G Classic iPod doesn't work anymore - and they no longer have a hard drive!!

My phne would be an option buthe connection keeps dropping off, as, for some unknown reason, the Mini asks again and again for permission... which my phone gives ONLY if I pull over and swipe.

So I have a couple of 20G usb drives and I will be trying them! Who knows if that will work.

Another disgruntled mini owner here! Drives me bonkers. I stream music from my phone, but have in the past put music I own onto a pen drive and used it. But the track listings are never numbered properly, I cant restart music if it stops without pulling over as there's no play button on the stereo! My husbands BMW is much better, both for streaming and because it has a CD with a hard drive so he can upload all he likes.

I just have some music downloaded to my phone and also download stuff from BBC sounds then listen via Bluetooth in my car.
