Endometriosis and becoming a police officer

Hi all

Random one but I've got my police assessment day tomorrow and I'm wondering if my endometriosis is going to let me down on the medical should I pass assessment.

Google is no use. I'm already a bit fucking nervous about the role play and maths side of things tomorrow and I don't want to get my hopes up to find out that my useless body is going to ruin things.

The endo is manageable most of the time. Since diagnosis in June I've had 3 major flare ups where I've been unable to move for between 12-36 hours. I've had a hysterectomy which has actually highlighted the issue and I'm hoping to have ovaries removed to lessen pain.

Day to day it just leaves me quite tired.

Rambling. Just need to know if it's a waste of everyone's time or if I should pull out now really.

TIA

Will you be ok with the bleep test and the push/pull test?

I don’t recall the medical questionnaire being that detailed but it was a while ago. I would have thought as this is a condition you’ve had for over a year you could declare it as a disability and therefore be protected legally.

Is the role play that shopping centre thing? Boat loads of advice about that online Smile

Yes the shopping centre thing! I went to a workshop last night about it which has helped.

Ok with the bleep test and my friend is a PT who's helping me get back up to strength for the push/pull

Thank you.

I know a number of police officers with this condition, so shouldn't cause issues x
