I heard Michael Heseltine on the radio this morning and got a bit fluttery. I felt like I had turned the wireless on in 1947. I have a soft spot for Nicholas Soames as well.

The worst voice is definitely Michael Gove’s. He sounds like an obnoxious, ingratiating supercilious little nerd who deserves a good kicking.

Statesmanlike. or Stateswomanlike. Used to be a flattering term but now people gabble in their attempt to get soooooo much of their bollox views out. But I find I can switch off as it's too much effort to follow.

Now, I’m so posh I don’t think of Ken Clarke as a posho! But he is probably my favourite Tory. I used to work for him about 100 years ago.

I always think Andrea Leadsom has a lovely speaking voice, and I'll generally listen if she's on the telly or radio. Shame I can't bloody abide her
