Driving test is tomorrow morning, feeling horrified

At myself. Because I know if (when) I fail it'll be because of nerves Angry

I feel so annoyed with myself. This will be my 4th test. In an automatic, and, I've had over 150 hours worth of lessons. Did I mention it's a bloody automatic?! Blush

I did eat a banana last time and it helped slightly. I'm going to try paracemtol and 2 bananas.

Does anyone have anything to suggest that may help? I can't get anywhere to buy Calms Rescue Remedy as, alas, I cannot drive anywhere to get some Grin

Calm down. You can't stall, grind your gears or roll backwards. The only thing that can let you down is your judgement. As long and you're calm and thinking clearly, you'll be fine. Your instructor wouldn't have put you forward for test if they didn't think you would pass. They obviously think you'd be fine driving alone so driving an examiner round for half hour will be a piece of cake, right?

Have the radio on quietly if it helps you settle. I did on my test and passed.

Take the pressure off and give yourself permission to fail you can easily do another test think of it as a practise.

Chew chewing gum during the test, it helped me and I passed 1st go and still chew gum when driving to this day! It's supposed to be good to chew gum when anxious... Google it. God luck

I drive an auto. Passed in an auto. Had about the same amount of lessons. Grin

Keep going you'll pass eventually!

Dh has just failed his second. His third is in the new year.

Good luck. x

MojitoMojitoo · 26/11/2019 21:43

I feel for you!

My third test is next month and the week running up to my last test and the morning of I was heaving because I was so nervous!

I've had hypnotherapy now so hoping before the 3rd test I'll be calm.

Good luck tomorrow and as ridiculous as it sounds try not to worry or panic and think positively!

You know how to drive and you are obviously ready for your test, you got this!!!!

Don't quit now though!

mrscee · 27/11/2019 20:01

Don't give up, I passed on my 7th attempt and was the worst with nerves but finally I passed and it's the best thing I've ever done.

danni0509 · 27/11/2019 21:18

Keep going! Xxx

Namechanger23455 · 27/11/2019 21:22

Took me 7 times as nerves got the best of me each time. I’m actually a really good driver and I was then , just got bloody nervous all the time. I thought I’d never get there... but I did... and you will too!!!

Heartofglass12345 · 27/11/2019 21:33

I went to the GP before I did my 6th(!) test. He gave me some beta blockers and I think they helped. I also did my test on a Saturday morning and the examiner seemed much more relaxed lol. Don't give up!
