How you first voted vs how you're voting in Dec

DD is 18, and voting for the first time next month (and very excited about it Grin), and it made me wonder how people's voting patterns have changed over time.

I have never voted for anyone except Labour and plan to again next month, but I'm wondering how/if people's political alignments have changed since they first voted??

I’m a floating voter....
Conservative
Lib Dem
Lib Dem
Labour 2017
Labour 2019

Unlikely to float back to conservative! My views have matured!

Hadenoughofitall441 · 26/11/2019 22:42

I like labour morals but think Jeremy Corbyn is an absolute twat. They are all useless twats in my opinion, they want us to put our faith in any of them when they’ve done nothing but balls things up. Still deciding.... may not waste my time voting when they can’t be bothered to do what the people want anyway. False promises since before I could vote.

danadas · 26/11/2019 22:52

I'm a floating voter and honestly can't remember how I've voted in the past, usually Lib Dem or Labour. Undecided for December.

Hels20 · 27/11/2019 07:27

Tory first 2 then labour next 2 then Lib Dem then Tory for last 2 and now Lib Dem.

midsomermurderess · 27/11/2019 07:42

Labour. Now, don't quite know, it's them or SNP. yeah, don't really know.

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 27/11/2019 07:54

I've always lived in Tory strongholds and have usually voted tactically for either Labour or Lib Dem. However I now feel so far out of alignment with Lib Dem that I can't see me voting for them anytime soon.

christmasathome · 27/11/2019 13:25

Im 41 and also had a general election fairly soon after being eligible to vote. I voted Tory then and did till probably 2000 then started to lean towards lib dem. Last general election i voted labour as a tactical vote. It took a lot to do that as for many years i was quite anti labour. I'm back to lib dem and intend to vote for them this time.

I was born in 1990. First voted in 2010 for Labour. Always has been and always will be Labour for me.
