Is any one feeling exhausted but has no particular reason why they should be

I am on my knees with exhaustion over the last couple of weeks.
Nothing around me has changed. Work is busy as always but good. However my eyes are so tired they scrunch up in tiredness ( I'm up to date on my eye test and had one done 3 weeks ago ) I'm eating well, I'm only having two pints of beer a week or once every two weeks.
I'm not sleeping great but haven't got any worries. I got home from work about 45 mins ago and I wznt to go to bed. I dont want to meet my friends, I don't want to go to the gym and I don't want to go to the cinema later as planned.
On my days off I'm sleeping until about 11.00am ( I wake up at 7.15 and fall back asleep at 8.15 once the house is empty.
I cant go on like this!!
Any one else knackered!

Yep. I think for me it’s the dark mornings and evenings and the general gloomy weather we’re having at the moment which means I’ve not seen the actual sun in about 2 weeks!

Bluerussian · 26/11/2019 20:14

Yes and often do, it has always been so. I am inclined to be depressed, that's a fact and is a contributory factor. Weather doesn't affect me, I'm happy to be in semi darkness, if anything when it is hot and sunny I feel sadder because I know I won't be enjoying it.

However life is not always like that and when I feel good I really do.

How old are you?

AaandBreathe · 26/11/2019 20:22

Yes, I've always felt like that. Turns out I had a vitamin D deficiency.

honeyloops · 26/11/2019 20:23

Same as AaandBreathe - daily vitamin D3 has changed my life.

I felt like this and it turned out I was horrendously anaemic. Over the counter iron tablets aren’t enough so I have a prescription. My blood pressure is also very low and was making me feel out of breath and even walking up a few stairs was a huge effort (I’m only 33 and relatively fit).
Get yourself to the dr and explain your symptoms, could be a deficiency and a simple blood test will sort it!

Em3978 · 26/11/2019 21:33

I'm permanently exhausted. Permanently achy, just fed up really.
I'm 41, only one child who is no bother at all, I work 12 hours a week and I'm just shattered!
Blood tests are all normal; thyroid, vitD, B12, iron, ferritin, folate, everything.
It's pants.

notacooldad · 26/11/2019 21:40

I am 54.
This tiredness has been for te last 3 weeks. Today has been the worse so far. After my opening post I slept for an hour and half until everyone came home.

I would be thinking thyroid issues or peri-menopause/menopause.

CatUnderTheStairs · 26/11/2019 21:47

Blood tests? .i had v low b12 when I felt like that. Needed an inspection. Had the b12 levels of an 80 year old when I was 45.

Or menopause/peri menopausal

Also DH had a virus for a month that wiped him out.
