Anyone waiting to take their kids to see frozen 2 until closer to Christmas? Or is the atmosphere better when first released?

We’ve already seen it. The kids really loved it and there were loads of girls there in Elsa costumes. I didn’t think it was really a Christmassy movie.

Neolara · 24/11/2019 15:39

No. We've just back from the cinema and all enjoyed it. (Kids aged 10 to 15, mix of boys and girls).

It's not Christmassy so I'd just go when you want

We went on Friday! I wouldn’t describe it as a Christmas movie, and don’t see the need to wait to see it.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 24/11/2019 15:43

My question really should have been is it better to go when released for atmosphere?

BlackCatSleeping · 24/11/2019 15:54

I’m not sure. There was no atmosphere when we went but the cinema was packed.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 24/11/2019 16:21

Ok thanks

Will it still be showing nearer to Christmas do you think? I wouldn't expect so if it's at my local they don't seem to have films on there for more than a couple of weeks.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 24/11/2019 16:39

It should be

Wouldn't occur to me to wait, because it's not a Christmas film.

Go when you like, don't think it makes much difference

dontlickthelamp · 24/11/2019 17:28

Go when you’d like, I don’t think it would matter much either way

Rosepetals30 · 24/11/2019 17:32

There’s nothing Christmas about it tbh, in fact there’s very little snow!

Don’t bother waiting. Go now. Means you can go again. I totally would

Xmasbaby11 · 24/11/2019 17:36

I see what you mean but it's not Christmasy and we get busy nearer xmas so it made sense to go today. If you've not got many plans and want a treat to look forward to, wait a few weeks. I think it'll be around a while.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 24/11/2019 17:43

Ok thanks

I'd go now it'll probably still be there at Xmas but it isn't an Xmas film
We went on Friday as my DD been waiting all year (her words)

toomuchfaster · 24/11/2019 18:29

We're going in a fortnight but that's due to scheduling more than anything!

charm8ed · 24/11/2019 18:41

I agree, it’s not as icy and frozen as the first one as set in Autumn. It’s very good, I watched it on Friday, i went on my own as only have grown up son. There were lots of little girls dressed in Frozen costumes. I’d say go now rather than wait.

OhTheRoses · 24/11/2019 18:46

We'te going on 7th December when I collect my little girl from uni. She's been looking forward to it for ages and wants to see it with her mum. She's only 21 so I humour her Grin

Pumpkintopf · 24/11/2019 18:49

Ohtheroses what a lovely post 😊

Crunchymum · 24/11/2019 18:55

I've made a promise to DC2 that we'll go just the two of us and have a lovely girly afternoon.

Planned to go this weekend but DC2 has a hacking cough so we've postponed. We are busy next weekend so it will be 2 weeks for us.

Feel a bit bad as the whole world seems to have seen the film but it will be something to look forward to.

EmpressJewel · 24/11/2019 18:57

I'm going soon. We have an inset day soon, so I'm hoping the cinema will be a little bit quieter.

Winterdaysarehere · 24/11/2019 19:03

Took dc yesterday. Disappointed...
5 yo was way too young and dc 11 was bored.
I only laughed at a one liner from Olaf.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 24/11/2019 19:46

DD admittedly at Uni saw it yesterday and loved it.

Big night out in Norwich Grin
