With 5 fucking weeks until Christmas. It's happily sat there for 3 bastard years & picked today to fall onto the unit below & one half is fucking fucked.

For fucks' sake.

It's black Friday this week isn't it? You might get a good deal on a new one if that's any consolation.

This happened to us. Fortunately Dh happened to catch it and Dd helped him lower it down. But ffs!

I probably will, I've borrowed a friend's bedroom telly for the moment.

It's more the fact that it's sat there for 3 whole entire years with no hint that it didn't want to be there then "creak, creeeeaaaak, smash" before my arse could shift to catch it so it survived.

Have you for accident cover on your insurance? My friends tv fell off the wall and she was able to claim on her insurance.

Not sure how it's done that @GreenTulips; it's going to cost me money & will reduce the space in my living room because I won't put another up there. But okey dokey. It's done me a favour . It could have given me a warning of some sort first!

Even having the tv on a stand is no guarantee though. Our cat pulled ours over a couple of months ago and the screen shattered against the edge of the stand. So I feel your pain OP.
