Outlook email. Getting birthday reminders for old Facebook friends, please help me stop it

I've had my outlook/hotmail email address for years, it's my [email protected] without having to add any numbers or hyphens so I'm reluctant to ditch it, but I'm sick of having almost daily email reminders about facebook friends birthdays. How do I unlink it?

I'm not even on Facebook anymore but I'm also still getting reminders of people I either unfriended or blocked off there before I did leave fb, IYSWIM.
I've been through every setting on my email account, looked for any sort of unsubscribe link in the individual emails but nothing. Today's reminder about the most toxic, horrible ex-friend that I had successfully until today forgotten about is definitely the straw that broke the camels back! HELP ME PLEASE!

I can't block the sender because "I'm" the sender. I can't alter my calendar, I've tried! Just no options to do or change anything 😬

I have the same problem but haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Apparently you need to open the reminder on a PC/laptop rather than mobile device and you'll be able to stop the madness. It's really irritating.

Just set up a rule and have them automatically diverted to another folder or delete box?

I will try both these things, although I'm pretty sure I tried last time I opened it up on PC, but will this time persevere until I've stopped the blasted thing!
