A little girl makes a homemade decoration for the tree. Mum waits until she's gone out of the room then turns the tree around so said homemade decoration is hidden.
This pisses me off. I love my kids homemade decorations and don't understand these people who have a colour theme for a tree. I let the kids have free rein with ours and often it looks like an explosion in a tinsel factory!
It may be slightly triggering for me...even though it was nearly 30 years ago I STILL remember the first time we had Christmas at my (now) stepmother's house. My brother and I decorated the tree, went out for a bit...when we came back stepmother had redecorated it because the way we'd done it was 'tasteless'.
