Civil Service-MoD specifically. Are career breaks still a thing?

I'm trawling through PRG to try and find out if career breaks still exist, can't find anything for CS.
Are they still called career breaks? Does the provision even still exist? Any help 🙏?

They are definitely still a thing at DHSC.

They are definitely a thing CS wide. I can't imagine MoD would be anything different.

Thanks @wigeon. Are they called career breaks? I'm wondering how pan-government department our policies are...

Yes, they’re called career breaks. One of my team successfully applied for one to go travelling - doesn’t necessarily have to be something worthy vent to the job. Other people I know have successfully applied for them to add on to maternity leave and be out of the workplace for longer than the paid mat leave period.
