Can anyone tell me about glitter tattoos?

I am helping to sort dneice’s birthday party as her mum is not about and although dB tried hard, he is not great with little details.

She has asked if she can have glitter tattoos.

I have looked in ebay at kits but am a bit confused. There will be a whole class of 34 kids there so does anyone have any idea how much glitter and glue I would need?
The packs seem to have loads of stencils with only 6 glitters and a 5ml glue.
Does it go a really long way or do I need to order more?
Also, can stencils be reused? And is it relatively easy to do? How long does it take? I don’t want to promise her something that I can’t deliver.
Any Christmas themed kit recommendations would be amazing.

Thank you so much and sorry for the long list of questions.

My dd went to a party recently with glitter tattoos and instead of the glue they used hair gel. This was really good. Stuck really well and came off easy too. My dd loves glitter tattoos and shes had a few times which the glue has been hard to remove. Also yes the stencils can be re used

Hi

I can help a bit but not fully. They don’t take long to do. You peel the backing off, stick stencil down, paint glue, cover with glitter and then peel off.

You can reuse stencils.

Children choosing which one they want can take a lot of the time. If there are 34 kids all wanting one can they come up one at a time during another activity (during food?) or have someone doing this on the side.

I would maybe get some spare glue and glitter.

Hope that helps a bit.

Very easy to do, dont pit to much glue on thin layer, let it go tacky as glitter will stick better. I would get more thrn what is in that kit as thats only enough for about 20 tattoos. Plenty of stencils and additional glue/glitter on ebay. Have fun.

You could just buy a pack of glittery temporary tattoo sheets on amazon or similar.

Could you not just do normal face paints with a stencil? Glitter is absolutely terrible for the environment. Micro plastics that end up in our oceans and sea creatures.

They can be almost impossible to get off so don't put them on in visible places if its school the next day.

They are popular, the kids love them but I'd advise you to check with the parents whether their kids can have them. Better play it safe and make sure they aren't allergic to the glue. If they haven't ever had a glitter tattoo, best to do a little patch test of the glue on the inside wrist and wait 30 minutes to see if there is a reaction. Also, kiddies faces are very sensitive so avoid the face area, I'd go for the arms or the legs. X
