How, how does my baby know when I'm about to eat something!

Every. Single. Time.

She was upstairs, in her cot, fast asleep. Stayed that way while my dinner was cooking, while I unloaded & reloaded the dishwasher, while I tidied up the living room. But the second I pick up the plate of food and leave the kitchen... Waa!! Waa!! Waa!!

She's 13 months old. She has used her short life thus far to hone and perfect this skill. I'll never eat a hot meal again.

Waa!!

Mine is 2. Though I now get a hot meal I have to share!!! Went out last week she had more of my meal than me!

This is why you’ll never have a hot cup of tea and they know when you’re hiding to eat a biscuit. They just know.

When she’s older you can look forward to emergency family meetings in the bathroom whenever you’re on the toilet.

Believe me, owl, I know - I've a five year old as well. But I swear the first one wasn't quite so well attuned to my dinner plans. Sad
