Would you mention this is a bereavement card?

My uncle died last night.

I rang DF's DP to talk about it as DF is driving today. She told me that my aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year. This is the first I've heard of it. (We're clearly a close family Hmm).

I want to say in the bereavement card I send to my aunt that I'm sorry to hear she's ill too. But is it late to mention it?

I wouldn't mention it in there.

If you're not close, then she may not want everyone to know about her health news.

God no, not on a bereavement card!

Your op is a little muddled! Who is DF and DP who told you? Haven’t you called your aunt?

Sorry- my father's brother died. I spoke to my father's partner.

Right, I'll leave it. My social radar is not the best, hence asking here.
