3 day weekend x 3 or 5 days off?

Trying to make the most of my limited annual leave- 20 days!

I have 3 days left to use in 2020.

Am I better off booking 3 x 3 day weekends (so booking 3 Mondays) or 1 x 5 day break (3 days off plus weekend)?

I won't be going anywhere, I'll just be at home with family. Already have time booked off for Easter, summer (september) and Xmas.

Bearing this in mind as well, when would you book my remaining 3 days?

Thank you

If you only have 20 days to choose do you have public holidays on top? If so I would use 3 X 1 day as weekends and take a Friday when it's a Monday holiday

Yeah I have bank holidays on top. I've already extended the Easter hols and August doing this, I don't feel like need to in May as we have 2 bank holidays then anyway.

I'd rather have 3 long weekends.

Ok so I would do

Feb weekend
Easter holiday
June weekend
August holiday
October weekend
Christmas holiday

Do you have to book them now? I'd probably try and use them when the weather is good in the summer and you don't want to be stuck at work when it's glorious outside and you want to sit in the garden or go to the park or the beach.

But obviously you've no idea when that will be if you book now, but if you have to book them now, I'd maybe use one day each in June, July and August, but I'd not necessarily a Monday or a Friday because while a long weekend is nice, a sneaky Wednesday off can be a good way of breaking up the working week and if you have them in June and early July, you can go out somewhere before it gets busy in the school holidays (assuming you're in England or Wales - I'm aware that Scotland etc has different holidays).

Defo 3x 3 days weekends. Makes the working weeks more bearable.
