What's the weirdest thing you do but can't admit?

For me I make random noises when I'm alone in the house. Along the lines of "pow and sound fx for doors etc 😂 I don't intend to do it but I do. Somehow I can reign it in when others are around.
Cheer up my Sunday and tell me yours.

If I stretch in bed I always say loudly starfish Grin

housewifeoflittleitaly · 18/11/2019 00:42

I watch ASMR videos of people eating 😳

puds11 · 18/11/2019 00:57

What is that house?

I use the loo with the door open.

PlasticPatty · 18/11/2019 01:08

I have two toy alpacas in the boot of my car, cosily tucked inside a bag which says on the side 'Alpaca My Bag'. True.

Ditsythespider · 18/11/2019 01:20

I sing like I’m the main act in a concert, sometimes I even use a ‘microphone’ (hairbrush)

MsPotterPepper · 18/11/2019 02:04

I speak to myself. My mind sometimes wanders to previous conversations I've had with people or imagined conversations and I say my part of them out loud and make the facial expressions.
It takes me a while to realise I'm doing and to stop. A few people have caught me doing it which has lead to ConfusedHmm looks.

LovemyDDxx · 18/11/2019 02:52

@MsPotterPepper I do this too!

bornonasunday · 18/11/2019 03:09

^^
And me!! I also have ‘conversations’ with my dog, say ‘pardon me’ if I burp or ‘oops’ if I bump into something! I also talk to the telly, and argue back with people I don’t like ... politicians and the like.
I say ‘night-night’ to the dog as well...

MsPotterPepper · 18/11/2019 21:24

Yay! I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one.Grin

poorlymatchedsocks · 18/11/2019 21:43

I have to tap all of the door lights and cooker switches and taps before I go to bed or I can't sleep

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 18/11/2019 21:53

MsPotterPepper I do that too!

Sparrowlegs248 · 18/11/2019 21:55

I count when I chop the carrots, or whatever. But usually carrots.

Pinkarsedfly · 18/11/2019 21:58

I pretend I’m on a cooking show when I’m cooking in the house alone.

I also pretend I’m on Desert Island Discs.

BerwickLad · 18/11/2019 22:00

@MsPotterPepper same. Also, the conversations I re-have in my splendid isolation always end up with me saying better things than I did when with the other person, and thus are much more satisfying.

pickleface · 18/11/2019 22:47

I have little songs I sing to the dog at specific times and he knows what they all mean. Like time for tea, walks or his hair brush song etc. Bit weird now I write it down

pickleface · 18/11/2019 22:49

And whilst I don't outwardly talk to myself, I have conversations in my head and make very overt facial expresions to correlate with what I'm saying, usually when I'm driving. Gets me a few concerned looks.

Lulualla · 18/11/2019 22:50

When I'm doing yoga, I talk as if I'm teaching someone else. It's like I've been doing it in classes for so long that I can't actually do it without hearing instructions so when I'm in the house, I'm the one who needs to say the instructions. I don't do it if anyone else is in though... the embarrassment overrides the need!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 18/11/2019 22:51

I always say please and thank you to Alexa!

The dc have started doing it now too!!

Majorcollywobble · 18/11/2019 22:54

@pickleface
Aaaw I love the thought of you serenading your hound .
I sing There’s no place like home to mine and he howls back .
Also TouraLoura Loura .

smoresmores · 18/11/2019 23:18

@poorlymatchedsocks I do this! It's the screws on either side of light switches and recycling logos for me though

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 19/11/2019 02:59

I have conversations with my dog, I ask her her opinion on brexit, the latest royal scandal, crisis in the Middle East.....she does answer back, she is extremely knowledgeable and wise..........I am also very good at ventriloquism........Grin

PrincessAnnaOfArundale · 19/11/2019 03:18

I have a storyline in my head like imaginary scenarios with characters and names. I know their likes and dislikes and even their birthdays etc. I act out various storylines in my head, often inspired by films or tv shows I have seen. Almost has a script and obviously my imaginary friends have their lines too. I realise I sound insane. I usually do it in my head when I can't sleep.

MsChatterbox · 19/11/2019 03:34

@housewifeoflittleitaly me too. But my favourite is tapping. Or hauls. What's in my bag. Fall asleep to it every night!
