Or is your catchment just the one nearest. The better practice I’ve moved near is 0.8 miles the one that’s not so good is 0.7 miles. Will I have to register with the one that’s 0.7 miles?

theres on within walking distance from my house, the one I'm at is further away.

I am in the catchment area for several doctors. The GP that I am registered in is 5 miles away.

I don't know the answer, but I would try enrolling with the preferred one and worry about it if they say no.

Yes, loads. In cities you can be in catchment for several.

I think you can check on nhs website which ones you are able to register at
They also usefully have reviews on. Which had me registering at one further away from the one in my village which had terrible reviews. The one I chose is lovely

Although distance may not be the deciding factors. Our catchments are very precise and so ones nearer you may not have you in and further away may - it’s not like school admissions by distance. Sometimes one side of a road is in a catchment and not the other.

We don't live in the catchment of the two nearest GPs- it's the third closest. (2 miles away). The deciding factor is what side of the road you live on.
