Please help me find some jeans that fit

I'm 5ft 1, hourglass/pear shape, size 16 or possibly even 18 depending on the sizing.

I'd like quite a high-waisted pair, and it's okay if they're on the skinny side as long as they're not ultra-skinny. They need to be actual jeans, not leggings.

What are the best high-waisted jeans for an hourglass/pear shape that are actually made in a petite length? Now that I've gained even more weight I've noticed that a lot of petite clothing only goes up to 14. So Gap are no good.

I did try some on at Collectif because of the shape, but because they're designed for average-height women it made the rise area all slouchy. So I do need something designed for petite women.

I saw some Curve Fit jeans on the Evans website but even their shorter length probably isn't going to be short enough, and also they look a bit low-rise.

Sainsbury’s short leg for my hourglass figure fit really well

M&S do loads of styles if I was you I'd go there and try loads on until you find a pair that you are happy with

I’m 5”3 and a size 14-16. I buy my highwasted jean from Primark. The do a few different leg lengths.

Sainsbury’s girlfriend jeans. Tbh I don’t know if they come in petite, but they are high waisted and excellent for an hourglass figure. They go several sizes larger than a 14!

Are the Next hypercurve jeans too skinny for you? If not then they might be perfect.

Upsidedownfrown · 16/11/2019 16:57

I'm pear shaped and live in jeans. Can honesty say Primark are the ones I keep coming back to. Sizing can be off but once you've found a style and size which work you can generally find the same jean in different shades/colours. Price is amazing and wash well too.

I'd certainly consider the Next Hypercurve ones, thank you!

Also has anyone tried the Petite Sculpt and Lift ones from M&S?

Next have a huge collection of jeans, something for everyone I'm sure!

PurpleBoomer · 17/11/2019 00:45

They are my favourite jeans!

maddiemookins16mum · 17/11/2019 07:57

Matalans do a really good range of jeans - £12! Mine fit really well (size 18) and they do a shorter leg. I choose the ones called Grace (they have female names per style).

I'm 5'2 and around a 26 and have Next Sculpt n lift . I find them a strange wearing experience - feeling tight all round my legs but far too loose at my waist .I'm hour glass.

Wynston · 17/11/2019 08:20

I have high waist simply be. I have a lot of scars on my tummy and these sit above them-very comfy.
Not so sure on leg length though-i tend to roll mine.

Callthemidwifeplease · 17/11/2019 08:21

Mark's and Spencer's carrie high wasted have worked for me.
