Road tax reminder is in Maiden Name

Hi,

I got married recently and sent off my marriage certificate to the DVLA along with licence and VC5 to get it changed over to my new name.

Got everything back within a couple of weeks, all fine. However the other day I got my road tax notification in the post and it's still in the maiden name.

I phoned to check this would be ok and after a pause the woman I spoke to said it should be fine.

But when I go into the road tax page its saying: "Only use this number if the V11 reminder letter is printed in your name" but it's my old name so of course I'm second guessing myself.

Anyone else had this happen? Is it ok for me to just go ahead given that my official documents are in my married name?

It's still your name though isn't it, in the sense that it isn't someone else's. I'd just renew it.

Yeah I'll just go for it. Not my fault that it wasn't updated in their system and crossed with the other documents.
