Quickly - do you know Gatwick? Need to connect someone with a van picking them up

I have a client arriving at Gatwick airport, North Terminal, and a van waiting there to pick them up.
The van isn't allowed to drive into the pickup zone until the passenger has made themselves known to the marshall(?) outside, then the van is allowed to drive down and get them.

Do you know how the passenger finds this marshall? What signage they should follow in the airport etc?

Why not ask the passenger to stand outside the Sofitel and text the driver when they are ready to be picked up? Plan B. Tell the passenger to catch a taxi to a local hotel where your van will be waiting to meet them.

What's the sofitel?

It's a VIP passenger, I can't ask them to book their own taxi

If they go outside of North Terminal and follow the sign to taxis they will see the marshalls there (in hi-vis). They are quite obvious.
