Just found out pregnant with a new job

I need some help and advice please.
I haven't been happy in my current job for some time so was applying for jobs and I came lucky to have been offered a job only 10 days ago, I went into work on 7 days ago with resignation, well today I have just found out I am pregnant so I am really worried now on whether I should take this job and wait or do I withdraw my notice with my employer with some excuse and then tell them after I've had my first scan. I am really baffled with this now.

You're unlikely to be entitled to SMP from new employer due to length of service, but it's totally morally wrong to withdraw your notice without telling them you're pregnant.

You can’t withdraw your resignation.

You can ASK to withdraw your resignation but the company doesn't have to agree. You won't get any maternity pay from the new job though.

You won't get SMP from new employer but given that you've been working for a while and have a new job too, are likely to work enough to qualify for Maternity Allowance. £140 a week for 39 weeks.

Why do you think they'd accept if you asked to withdraw your resignation?
