What can I do to earn a little pin money?

I’m a single mum, 3 dc, professional job for 30 hours per week (increasing hours to earn more is cancelled out financially by higher childcare costs)

I’ve started using You Need A Budget (YNAB) and this has been brilliant at making me think about what our costs actually are. However it has also highlighted how little spare there actually is.

I can feed, clothe, house us etc but there is very little left over for fun stuff, for anyone. I would like to be able to get us all a hot chocolate when we are out or every so often get the kids a magazine as a treat. So I don’t need to pull in megabucks more but just a little.

Any ideas?

(I’m already eBaying like fury and I’ve done a good cleanse of our bills- switched utilities/ made sure we are taking packed lunches not using school/work canteen etc)

Are you crafty at all? I make about £150 a month selling handmade bits on Etsy - mostly wooden things. Someone I know who crochets scarves and baby blankets makes about £300 just crocheting in front of the tv in the evenings (tbf she can work very fast!)

I also do online surveys, but I only make £10 here and there and a very occasional £50 from YouGov. It’s only worth doing if you find them interesting though.

I've just started maternity and was looking for ways to earn a little extra money to top up SMP. I've been doing 20cogs it's so easy and didnt expect to actually make any money from it but I'm already at close to £100! I'll post a referral link if anyone else is interested in trying it

I'm thinking of trying matched betting but not totally confident on how to do it yet, does anyone have any recommendations or threads for learning more about it?
