Love that store. Torturing myself by following on Instagram. Smile

I absolutely love TJ's but I have to say I'd swap it in a heartbeat for a Waitrose or Sainsbury's! I absolutely love going food shopping when I'm back in England, it's become a weird treat instead of a chore Grin.

Just the peppermint bark and exciting flavours of ice cream would do me fine.

NightsOfCabiria · 10/11/2019 20:20

Yes! and Pottery Barn.

Everytime I see something covetable on Instagram or Pinterest its from Pottery Barn.

Thefemalekeithrichards · 10/11/2019 20:25

I have TJ’s Arizona, Texas, Boston, Northern California, and New York reusable grocery bags plus the Lemur `perky coffee’ bag and the wine carrier. (sister is aircrew) I also love the three in one face wash which I have seen on amazon for £30 - cost five dollars in TJ’s and it is really lovely

Honeyroar · 10/11/2019 20:28

I can never see the attraction to Trader Joes.

I'd prefer Potterybarn, Crate and Barrel, Bath and Bodyworks, and Cheesecake Factory personally.

Bl00mingCactus · 10/11/2019 20:31

I have the Boston, NYC and Connecticut long life bags and the veg cloth bag.😍

Trader Joe's isn't that amazing... Some great stuff, some not-so-great, you have to know what's worth getting!

CaraConcerned · 10/11/2019 20:42

I did love Whole Foods white chocolate and peppermint bark covered pretzels tho

Thefemalekeithrichards · 10/11/2019 20:44

@Bl00mingCactus

I want the Wisconsin one with the cheese/cattle on and the Colorado one with the camp grounds ....alas they aren’t in my sisters destinations

I have seen them on eBay but the postage from US is really expensive

They are nice bags, very ‘upbeat’ I suppose is the term and interesting relevant designs
(Long lasting too)

Bl00mingCactus · 10/11/2019 20:48

Ooo I like the look of the Wisconsin bag.

Walgreens is my favourite store in the States, closely following by Old Navy, Bath and Body Works is right up there as well. DH brought me back some more supplies of Warm Vanilla Sugar products from BBW last time he was over there.

Still use Halloween lights (battery) from Meier as well.

Thefemalekeithrichards · 10/11/2019 20:51

@Bl00mingCactus

It has cheese on - enough said 😍

theoriginalmadambee · 10/11/2019 20:55

Scandi here, our aldi has some trader Joe products. Usually on offer items.

Excited101 · 10/11/2019 21:32

Ohhh yy to the Cheesecake Factory and pottery barn!

AlbertWinestein · 10/11/2019 23:08

The Cheesecake Factory is overpriced shite! You may as well go to Applebee’s!

EachandEveryone · 10/11/2019 23:17

The Applebees in W Hollywood wasnt great but we loved the Cheesecake Factory and I wish we had one here. The TJ’s in W Hollywood is bloody great for people watching.

Bigoldwimp · 10/11/2019 23:24

Yes I’d be the first in line for two buck chuck and chocolate coated coffee beans. Wait! And sushi and they do some really good frozen dim sum

Ohjustboreoff · 10/11/2019 23:55

Oh how I miss Trader Joes. Also miss Target, Old Navy, Crate and Barrel and Restoration Hardware. Big sigh

HerRoyalNotness · 11/11/2019 00:24

TJs have the best Freezer snacky food. Soup dumplings, Lemongrass chicken spring rolls, mac n cheese, mini chicken tacos, mini samosa...... Ooh and the hot chocolate on a spoon for $1 a piece. Boil milk and stir in until it’s melted. They have amazing oat chocolate chip mini cookies too. And the turkey stuffing crisps ......

HerRoyalNotness · 11/11/2019 00:25

... and turkey chilli in a can for $2, precooked turkey legs, I buy loads when they come out and keep in the freezer, much easier than cooking a whole turkey for thanksgiving/Xmas.

HoldMyLobster · 11/11/2019 01:22

Shake Shack. Fries with cheese. Mmmmmmm.

katmarie · 11/11/2019 01:29

I miss trader Joe's, definitely. Two buck chuck was surprisingly good, and they always have super interesting stuff, plus the stores are just nice to be in. I spent a few years in the bay area, CA and the other shop I really miss is world market, so good for random browsing of homeware and holiday stuff, and interesting foods from all over the world.

managedmis · 11/11/2019 01:33

I love Whole Foods

Their fresh peanut butter

Omfg

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 11/11/2019 01:38

Yes!
I'm in a plant based FB group, and people are always banging on about Trader Joes.
It sounds ace.
I want a Trader Joes lol!
Open up in the UK goddamit Grin

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 11/11/2019 01:41

@Excited101
Ohhh yy to the Cheesecake Factory and pottery barn!
Pottery barn is an actual shop? I've only heard of it through Friends and Ross' apothecary table lol Grin
That makes sense though - assume it was some sort of product placement thang, kind of when they all went "yay, Boddingtons!" when they came to London lol
(sorry, as you all were.... Grin
