Broken big toe - how soon to get on a spin bike?

I broke the tip of my big toe last Thursday and have been diligently wearing the special sandal given to me by A&E (tho still walking a lot).

It doesn't hurt anymore and I have tried my spin shoes which seem to support it/be more comfy than any other shoe.

Could I try some gentle exercise on a spin bike?

Are your spin shoes stiff-soled cycling shoes? That may help, as soft soles/trainers may naturally make you bend your toes to pedal. I'd strap it up well and use a very light gear and try 10 min bursts with increments over time.

(I fractured my toe and it took me ages to get back on my bike but much of that was mental rather than physical)

Well I’ve carried on spinning with a fractured fibula so I’d certainly spin with a broken toe. I may not be the voice of reason though. 😁
