New home after domestic abuse

A friend of ours has finally got the keys to her new home after serious and prolonged DV. She has two teenage children.
We've already offered to help decorate (it needs a lot of TLC) but can anyone who has been through similar suggest a gift that would really helped you or that you would really have wanted?

Is she starting completely from scratch? There’s a good thread in housekeeping or property by someone doing similar.

I am an Ikea fan, so if she’s near Ikea, an Ikea voucher, an offer to go with her or take her, and a small Christmas tree (you could get one of those table ones) and some decs.
