I have twin boys who are 3, they are both autistic. Neither of them has much interest in people or animals. But portage bought this teddy round that plays peekaboo and its mouth moves and he is absolutely transfixed by it. Unfortunately it’s very limited, only says a couple of phrases etc so I’m looking for something more interactive / varied.

Somewhere in the loft I have my old Teddy Ruxbin but alas he’s lost an eye and would probably be the stuff of nightmares. I’ve seen they’ve released new teddy Ruxbins but they’re very weird looking.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

there is a 'sherrif callie' one which has a mouth that moves, i don't know how varied the phrases are though and you would have to buy second hand (link) since they don't produce them any more. i suppose if you switched it with the one you already have regularly enough they might not get sick of the phrases?

or there is a talking tom one (link) that repeats everything you say back to you
