What does NEC stand for regarding a hysterectomy on a sick note?

I've looked online and can't seem to find an explanation that relates to a hysterectomy. But looking at the sick note I've just been issued, the reason is "Hysterectomy NEC" and I was curious as to what the NEC bit stands for.
Any ideas?

It’s just a read code the GP computer system uses

NEC usually means no evidence of cancer. Not sure if it does in this case though!

Not elsewhere classified.

Thank you, so looks like it's just GP jargon then. I was just curious. And bored. There's lots of boredom in this recovery business Hmm

I got all my paperwork filed during the housebound stage of hysterectomy recovery.

I'm in recovery at the moment but my notes are in Turkish/ translated from Turkish (not hysterectomy) so I understand about 1/10th of them.

I also have a DVD of my operation which is awesome !

@70isaLimitNotaTarget wow that is impressive! I'd love to see what they did with mine. Mine took over 4 hours instead of the expected 2 though, so that would be a Loooooong video lol
