Fantasy mansion

Along with all the usual mansion rooms, what will yours have? Mine will have a wood pannelled map room full of globes, maps and gleaming walnut wood tables ot spread them out on to plan wild treks and expeditions.

Also a walled vegetable garden packed with fragrant herbs and vegetables grownin ornamental spirals and up willow tepees, with a Victorian glass vine house at one end. I will be making my own wine. And sherry. Do join me.

I'd like a pagan temple in the grounds of mine! With pillars and an altar and big statues of my favourite goddesses.

Also a library full of old books and cosy armchairs and taxidermy

A big Victorian glass house so I can grow herbs and exotic plants.

I'm currently planning an extension and wonder if I can squeeze any of the above out of my 2 bed post war ex-council house.

Endless basement storage, like the cold storage in a lot of American houses, all with fitted shelves and everything had a labelled place in an appropriate storage bin. This would make me so happy!

All of these are now added. Especially @DryHeaving's walk in wardrobe. Can;t believe I forgot to add a boudoir. We need walk in wardrobes with full length gilded mirrors and dressing tables with stage dressing-room lights around the mirrors and colour coded padded hangers and beautifully labelled boxes for all our shoes.

I’m easily pleased a room for me to do my sketches and paintings where children are forbidden from entering and also a full time chef and dishwasher

I've always loved the idea of living in the house from practical magic.
Right by the coastline.

My house would have a giant tree in the garden with an old fashioned creaky wooden swing

Beds with proper old fashioned blankets and roaring fires

Ooooh I'd love to add in a secret garden behind a wall like in the book and lots of cherry blossom trees.

A large library room with comfy chairs, roaring fire and a magic room for doing spells

Also a special indoor space that g chi plus convert to outdoors for throwing bubble and foam parties.

I’d like a house with lots of secret passages behind secret sliding panelled oak walls (like in the Famous Five books I used to read as a kid)

Mine would look like the Home Alone house on the outside and the Something's Gotta Give house on the inside. There would be a double height library with sliding ladders, huge comfy chairs and sofas and a roaring fire. My closet would be similar to Carrie's in SATC (when Big bought the new apt). I would have a giant bedroom with doors out onto a balcony overlooking the ocean.

I dont want my own mansion. Just a room at the carrington’s. Bloody love dynasty.

Huge Log cabin in grounds with resident chipmunks living in luxury with fluffy leopard print hammocks and an infinite supply of pecans - shelled of course 🐿

I once visited the mansion of a famous film director. He had a cat flat. An apartment for his cats, with coir walls so they could climb them and trees in the rooms. I liked his style.

Ballroom please. The children would enjoy dancing in it, and just running around in circles with their friends.
