What food do you leave your babysitter?

We’ve got a babysitter booked from 6.30PM this weekend. Normally we don’t go out so early so I just tell them to help themselves to snacks/ fruit/ drinks etc. Should I leave a pizza/ microwave dinner she can help herself to? She’s 18.

I leave lots of treats..and selection of drinks. I always ask if there's anything specific she wants.

I normally just leave snacks - happy to leave a pizza etc but preferences are a minefield.

Cheese and crackers and cake are always popular.

I’d ask what snacks she’d like - or because of the timing, at least check whether she’s planning to eat dinner before she comes so that she doesn’t arriving starving. (And if there’s anything in the fridge you’re keeping back for meals, say so before you leave - friend of mine once had the babysitter polish off all the cold roast chicken that was to feed the family for the next day’s dinner and all the flapjacks for the weeks lunchboxes!)

Maybe offer an extra bit of cash toward a takeaway
Tbh a couple of cans of Diet Coke and some toast and I’m happy
