Does this look like tongue tie?

Showed my MW my 4d scan earlier and how much the pics look like dc2.
Showed her a cheeky one of him poking tongue out. And she said looks like tongue tie?
Surely they can't see by the scan pic? Or can they.
I know it's common but I'm now worried.

She'll have said it because of the heart-shaped tip it appears to have. Please don't worry. If he's born and he has one that's affecting him, it's a very simple procedure that's really common. It may just be the scan making it look that way x

Both of mine have had tongue tie. Honestly I would have loved someone to say it to me before they were born! As it was, we struggled for 6 weeks with the first by the time anyone spotted it (didn't get it snipped as we'd worked out a quirky feeding method of our own by then), and with the second it was 5 weeks of screaming and me insisting something was wrong and "breastfeeding support workers" telling me all was fine until I saw a specialist who immediately diagnosed tongue tie, snipped it and all was fine there on in.

At least you are now alert to it so if the are any problems you can hopefully get it checked and snipped in the very early days and avoid weeks of pain.
